I work as a Specialist Registrar in Psychiatry in North London and as a researcher at the Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Aging at University College London (UCL)

I completed a PhD in 2015 with the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London, in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at UCL, supervised by Professors Ray DolanAra Darzi and Ivo Vlaev

My research involves building models of human learning and behaviour, with a view to understanding mental illness and ultimately helping people to cope with it. I am particularly interested in why people sometimes behave impulsively

Dread and the Disvalue of Future Pain received media coverage including: New Scientist, Harvard Business Review, The Atlantic

Most of the photographs on this site are shot on film with one of three cameras: Mamiya 645 (medium format SLR), Fed-2 (35mm rangefinder) or Seagull 3B (medium format TLR)
